The Fraserburgh Fitness Centre, located in James Ramsay Park, staged a sponsored cycle run from Dyce to Fraserburgh on Sunday, September 2.

Over forty cyclists of all ages took part to raise money for their club.

Some did the whole journey from Dyce to Fraserburgh, while others joined in at different stages along the way.

The riders set off as early as 9:30am from Dyce, and the whole group arrived back at the club’s headquarters in James Ramsay Park at around 3.30pm - some a bit more sorer than others, but all were in good spirits.

Everyone had some refreshments afterwards, and were even beginning work on planning the next one.

Special thanks go to Mr Callum MacDonald for coordinating the event and also Mr Graham Gordon for arranging the transportation of cycles to different locations, Mrs Linda Ross and her helpers for arranging the refreshments and, of course, all the cyclists and their sponsors.

The centre is still awaiting sponsor money to be tallied, but the estimated amount is believed to be in the region of £3,000.

The money raised will go towards the development plans of the centre, the Fraserburgh Herald understands.
