Winter football can’t last long enough for the Burgh

Fraserburgh manager Kris Hunter has plenty to smile about at the helm of the Bellslea club, having steered his side to the Scottish Cup’s fourth round and overseeing a productive winter of victories over the Highland League’s top sides.

In the Highland League itself, the Broch are on a five game unbeaten run, their last defeat having come against table-topping Formartine United back in November.

Waiting for the chance to right that defeat, when they next play in March, the Broch have went on a streak of notable victories over the likes of title contenders Wick, Brora, and Cove, the Burgh making a name for themselves as an unknown quantity in the Highland League.
