Grampian Super League

Both Fraserburgh and Kinnaird are in action on Sunday when they play host to Ellon and Turriff, respectively, in the Robertson Motors Super League.

Fraserburgh face Ellon at the Bellslea Bar and Kinnaird take on Turriff at the Elizabethan.

Both Fraserburgh and Kinnaird retain the same squads from their previous matches with all players requested to be at their respective venues for 12.30pm.

Fraserburgh, with a narrow 6-4 win away at West Aberdeenshire, currently top the table on sets difference from Aberdeen “A”. Mike Forbes was the ‘Broch’s top player (23.37) with only Charlie Simpson (22.46) and Alan Smith (22.41) being the other players to play to form. Pete Mitchell, Jamie Hagen and Colin Robertson were the ‘Broch’s other winners in a very poor team performance. Mike Forbes had a super 152 finish and Ian Peck notched a maximum.

Kinnaird and Mid Deeside shared the points at Banchory, meanwhile. The two Whyte’s shone for Kinnaird with Graham topping the lot with a match best (24.85) average followed by Jamie (24.24). Marc McBride, Gavin Thomson and Sandy Forbes were Kinnaird’s other winners.

It’s a Whyte fight at the top of the local averages table with Jamie Whyte in top spot on 25.24 followed by Graham Whyte (25.26), Mike Forbes (24.85), Steven Hastie (24.72), Alan Smith (24.70), and Gary Hagen (24.31).
