Burgh-Blue Toon rivalry set to reignite

Waiting for Video...

Fraserburgh Football Club will soon reinstate their long-standing rivalry with rivals Peterhead after it was revealed they would play each other in a pre-season friendly.

The two teams had previously been part of the Highland League before Peterhead broke into the Scottish League system at the end of the 1998/99 season.

Since then, the historic rivalry between the pair has been limited to these marquee friendly fixtures.

Peterhead will host the Burgh for a testimonial game for Graeme Sharp, the Blue Toon’s left-winger heading into his 10th year with the club, on Saturday, July 12.
