Findlays edge Duck

THE 2nd division match up at Findlays served up last week's closest finish with visitors the Tufted Duck leading 7-4 at one point only to see their lead evaporate with the Hosts eventually taking the deciding frame to win the match 8-7.

The Cairgullie Tigers were also involved in a tight match at home to the Bala, winning the final 3 frames to run out 9-6 winners. In the final match of the 2nd division leaders the Bancar defeated Whytes 11-4.

The 1st division leaders the Bellslea won 12-3 out at the Pittendrum, an eight ball clearance from Kris Manett. The Bellslea Sport won their first match of the season by defeating the Ark 9-6, the Ark's Brian Smith getting an eight ball clearance.

The final 1st division match was a close encounter between the Kenyan and the Legion with the visitors winning 8-7.

Thomas Bannon's 6-2 defeat of league leader Jim Anderson puts him second on 27 points only 2 points behind.
