Good times for local runners

A TOTAL of 23 runners turned up for the 10th handicap race with conditions perfect for good times.

It was a very competitve race with the first 10 runners finishing within 57 seconds.

Allan Watt had his best run for the season coming in first. Alison West, Andrew West, Robbie Youngson ,Lisa Stephen and Ally Mathers all had season's best times.

The best run for the men would go to Mark Caldwell, who came in third beating his previous P.B. by 59 seconds. Scott Gibb and RTB also had P.Bs.

Gillian Strachan had the best run for the ladies just missing out on a P.B. by two secs.

Stuart Dickson, Mark Caldwell and Elaine Whyte had the best scratch times.

Handicap: 1st Allan Watt 47:28; 2) Andrew West 47:37; 3) Mark Caldwell 47:44; 4) Robbie Youngson 47:45; 5) Elaine Whyte 47:55; 6) Ally Mathers 48:00; 7) R.T.B. and Hannah Lawrance 48:04; 9) Scott Gibb 48:04; 10) Lisa Stephen 48:23.

Ladies Scratch: Elaine Whyte 32:20; Gillian Strachan 33:05; Lisa Stephen 33:28.

Mens Scratch: Stuart Dickson and Mark Calldwell 30:59; Keith Buchan 31:50.

Top League Positions: Malcolm Sinclair 52 points; Alison West 38; Lisa Stephen 34; Robbie Youngson 33; Katherine Mitchell and R.T.B. 32; Stuart Dickson 28; Stephen Milne 24.
