HUNTER: Broch Manager Kris Hunter was sent to the stands in the 2-0 defeat to Inverurie Loco Works.

Fraserburgh could have been forgiven for resting on their laurels after a convincing Aberdeenshire Shield victory several weeks ago, manager Kris Hunter bringing new attacking prowess to a young team that can only improve.

However, since the addition of a new trophy in the Broch cabinet, results in the Highland League have been, at times, unconvincing.

Two draws and one win in their last three games have seen the Broch all but miss out on a late season title challenge.

Hunter, the man behind the Broch team to return a trophy to Fraserburgh for the first time in six years has said that he wants the Broch to finish as high as they can, and they certainly look on track to do that with their first win of April notched up in an emphatic manner.

A 6-1 win away to Fort William will add further conviction to a Broch side looking to end the season as they hope to start the next one, their attacking brand of football one of the best to watch in the League.

Nairn County are next for the Broch, in a game that could gauge just how far the Broch has come since the arrival of their new manager, and what still needs to be done for the season ahead.

Fraserburgh will host Nairn County on Saturday, April 14.
