Pigeon racing
Fraserburgh District Flying Club held a race from Consett on August 21.
The winning pigeon belonged to G. Gibb of Dundas Road , Inverallochy, which flew a distance of 195 miles, 297 yards in a time of three hours and 40 minutes.

There was a race held from Ripon on August 28. The winning pigeon belongs to G. Duthie of Beacon Cottages in Cairnbulg, which flew a distance of 246 miles, 451 yards in a time o six hours and three minutes.

Flying from Arniston, the winning pigeon belongs to Mr G. Gibb, of Dundas Road in Cairnbulg. It covered a distance of 133 miles, 591 yards in three hours and one minute.
