Pittendrum cruise to league title

THE Pittendrum needed 6 frames at home to the Bancar to lift the Division 2 Cup, they did so in quick fire action winning six of the first eight frames eventually running out 11-4 winners, a result that gives the Elizabethan the runners up slot in the round robin event.

Cheers lifted the consolation cup for the third year running defeating the Drum 8-3, an aggregate score of 15-10.

The Charity Shield became the first trophy in Enigma's trophy cabinet after they defeated the Legion 8-5, 8-ball clearances from the Legion's Stephen Thomson and two from Enigma's Simon Donald, putting Simon on 13 for the season with the Bellslea's Kris Manett sitting in second place on eight with two matches to go.

The Bellslea was the venue for the quarter finals through to final of the Broch singles and the remaining one frame fixtures on Sunday the 25th of April, results were: Broch singles quarter finals - Stephen Thomson (Legion] 0 v 4 Graeme Stephen (Bellslea], Gordon Smith (Legion] 0 v 4 Simon Donald (Enigma], Thomas Bannon (Enigma] 4 v 2 Andy Gerrie (Bellslea], Lee Bannerman (Bellslea] 4 v 2 Kris Manett (Bellslea].

Semi finals:- Graeme Stephen 3 v 4 Simon Donald, Thomas Bannon 4 v 1 Lee Bannerman. The 1 frame singles quarter finals, Martin Burnett (Bancar] received a walkover over Ryan Allan (Bancar], Stephen Thomson (Legion] received a walkover over Andy Gerrie (Bellslea], Simon Donald (Enigma] beat Dave Bisset (Enigma], Kris Manett (Bellslea] beat Marc McBride (Legion].

Semi finals:- Martin Burnett beat Stephen Thomson, Simon Donald beat Kris Manett.

In the Final, Simon Donald defeated Martin Burnett.

Tonight, Thursday 29 April, the final of the Knockout cup will be between Enigma and the Bellslea and will take place in the Ark Inn in Sandhaven, the venue Enigma are using as a home venue while they await their new table.
