West End bowlers heed the signs
Fraserburgh West End bowlers are currently celebrating coming second top of the Buchan Bowling Association 1st Division.
And on top of that they are delighted to confirm that after three-and-a-half years they have got the lease of their clubhouse and that a new sign has been erected by Aberdeenshire Council at the bottom of Hamilton Road, showing new and prospective members the way to the club on Union Grove.
At the end of their season, they managed to play a series of trophy games in fair weather conditions.

The club held it's annual barbecue recently, which helped raise money for two local causes as well as money towards the running of the club itself. The event raised a total of 1,200.
Club secretary/treasurer, Bob Lindsay told 'The Herald': "Thanks to all who donated towards the event. Although numbers were down, we took in a grand total of 1,200. We gave the local lifeboat station a donation of 100 and 20 to the local pensioners hall.
"After a wait of three-and-a-half years we have finally got the clubhouse double the size to accommodate our increasing membership, with facilities and access for disabled members.
"It will still be a public green with up to date facilities. Any donations from companies or firms would be gratefully appreciated."
