The annual Buchan Firkin tournament was won last weekend by professional golfer David Law, following a play-off with local golfer Andrew Hepburn.
Law took the win with a score of 143, a score shared with Hepburn until the play-off.
John Mitchell (146), fourth, was the other Brocher to place in the top five with his scratch score.
The Town Council Trophy was also contested, going to the person with the lowest handicap over the competition.
Local golfer Nicky Robertson placed first with a score of 134, a full six shots clear of closest rival Ross Buchan (Inverallochy) who scored 140.
John Ross (141) was third, while fellow Brocher Michael Summers (143) was fifth.
The Buchan Firkin is an annual tournament hosted by Fraserburgh Golf club. It is believed that the competition came about, originally, at the end of the herring season, herrings cured in firkins for winter.
This year, the competition was sponsored by Financial Options and Cruden Joiners and Carpenters.
