A Fraserburgh basketball player has been selected for the national squad and is set to take part in an international competition in 2014.
Fraserburgh Academy pupil Kornelijus Dauksas is now preparing to compete in the European B League competition next spring.
Kornelijus, who is originally from Lithuania, has been playing bastetball since he was eight years old.
The seventeen-year-old trains at Fraserburgh Academy twice a week and also travels to Aberdeen for basketball training.
Commenting, Kornelijus said: “I’m honoured and excited to showcase my skills and take part in the national team.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
