On Saturday evening, more than 80 members attended Fraserburgh Indoor Bowling Club’s prize giving and dinner/dance.

However before the prizes were presented, invited guest for the evening, Isla McNab, was presented with a cheque for £680 towards ‘Isla’s Dream’. The money was raised at a bowling fundraiser earlier in the year.

After Marc Thomson, presented all the prizes, he presented Margaret Watt with flowers and wished her good luck as she becomes the Leisure Centre’s new Manager on the 1st of May.

He then thanked his retiring Vice-President, Ryan Clark, for the huge amount of hard work and support he had given the club over the last two years. Margaret then presented Ryan with a gift from the club.

Marc concluded the prize giving by thanking everyone for their support in his 2nd year as President and said that he was honoured to continue as President for the club’s 25th Anniversary, as the Leisure Centre becomes 25 years old on the 3rd February 2015.

The club will have a season of celebrations to mark the occasion, including special friendly games and a Ball.

The club will also have the honour of hosting the Scottish Singles and 2 Bowl Pairs Finals during the season.
