GRAMPIAN Kart Club’s open day at Boyndie Race Circuit had to be cancelled on Sunday due to the horrendous weather conditions.
High winds with driving rain caused the track to flood to a depth of nine inches. Flooding also occurred around the clubhouse and in the pit area.
The club wishes has apologised to all people who had taken time to attend the event as demonstrators and visitors.
The next karting action at Boyndie Drome Circuit will be on Sunday, September 11, when the Scottish Super Series has the final round of the championships.
Six classes will battle out the honour of holding the ‘S’ plate for 12 months. Racing starts at 10am.
