On Saturday 2nd May, new dance school ‘Lucie Summers Dance’ organised the filming of a music video with over 100 kids.

The filming was produced by Taylormade Productions (an Aberdeen based company) and took place at Fraserburgh Academy.

110 kids took part throughout the whole day from 9.30am-6pm. Children as young as 3 years old were even involved in the filming day.

The final music video was posted on YouTube Monday 25th June and has since then had over 4000 views.

The routine showcases some of the talent that there is in the Broch.

The video included two P1-3 classes, two P4-7 classes, an Academy age class, Pre-schoolers and new local dance company ‘North East Youth Dance Company’. The video can be found on YouTube with the search ‘Lucie Summers Dance’.

Speaking to the Fraserburgh Herald, Lucie said: ““I’ve taught children in Glasgow and Edinburgh and can honestly say that the most talented kids I’ve taught are the ones right here in the Broch.

“They are absolutely fantastic.

“I really wanted the kids here to experience something new and a bit different. They all had a brilliant day, and lots of fun was to be had.

“I’m so proud of them all, and know that there are a lot of happy faces in Fraserburgh when they catch a glimpse of themselves in the video.

“It was a great experience for them to be involved in. I already can’t wait to do it next year again”

The five and a half minute long video has now been on YouTube for over three weeks and currently has 4258 views.

Fifty viewers have liked the video with one watcher commenting: “Really good. Summer loves it.”
