Last Sunday saw the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses open its doors to crafters from across the North-east, the popular tourist attraction hosting a craft fair.

18 stalls were on show to members of the public for the free event, the event itself helping to raise money for the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses.

Stall holders included Susan Smith of Painteramics, Jenny Croucher of Kitchen of the Old Dragon, and Mike Clifford of Wanderers Crafts.

Jill Chandler, a trustee of the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, had organised the event, herself a talented painter and the person behind Buchan Birds and Beasts.

She said: “We did pretty well, the main thing was us trying it out for the first time and raising money for the Lighthouse Museum.”

On the possibility of running more craft fairs at the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses in the future, she added: “I think I would, but it would be at this time of year again.”
