The next open weekend at the Maud Railway Museum will take place this Saturday and Sunday between 11an and 4pm.
Admission is free but donations are always welcome.
The museum is located in the old station building and is supported by Aberdeenshire Council and the Buchan Development Partnership.
The Buchan line closed in 1965 to passengers and 1979 to goods. Many of the relics and photos on display relate to the years when the line was open.
Recently the trustees running the museum received a surprise package containing photos of former railwaymen based in the Buchan area.
These will be available for inspection during the open weekend in the hope that visitors may be able to identify a family member.
One shows a group in front of a railway carriage at either Fraserburgh or Peterhead.
Another picture seems to be taken beside a former Great North of Scotland Railway wooden building, either a station or goods shed.
Any help in identifying individuals or locations would be helpful.
