Fraserburgh Visual Arts Group is holding its open art exhibition in the Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre, Fraserburgh, during the weekend beginning Friday, June 29.
Their 2008 Exhibition featured a mosaic of the MV Sunrise, a Fraserburgh fishing boat.
72 mosaic pieces were produced in different styles and materials, by 72 local artists, and assembled to create the large - 18 foot by 12 foot - artwork.
This year it is planned to have art workshops running during the week leading up to the exhibition.
The Arts Group is changing the format of this year’s exhibition. All potential exhibitors should contact the Arts Group at the email addresses and telephone numbers to follow.
In another change from the last exhibition, application forms are not being automatically posted out to past exhibitors as in previous exhibitions.
Mr Doug Irvine informed the Herald that the Visual Arts Group hoped that this would encourage new as well as past exhibitors to submit their recent artwork.
Volunteers to assist with the necessary duties involved in running the exhibition are always welcome.
For application forms or further information, interested 2012 exhibitors should contact members of the hanging committee, Doug Irvine via email at email@example.com or through telephone at 01346 582857 or 07890 002293. Alternatively, you can contact Louise Hewitt via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone number 01346 510867.
Application forms are also available from the Dalrymple Hall and Art Centre Fraserburgh, weekdays between 10am and 1pm, or from members of the Visual Arts Group Committee.
