Halloween events set to scare

Local cafe, bar and tavern, Cheers, is holding a Halloween event on Saturday, ahead of finding out whether or not they will be bringing back further SLTN awards to the Broch, the Broad Street establishment the only premises outside Aberdeen representing Aberdeenshire in the awards.

Before doing the Broch proud, regardless of the result, the local bar are holding a fancy dress competition on Halloween.

Photographing everyone who enters in their specially decorated porch, the public will decide the winner of the contest, with everyone’s Halloween photographs uploaded the Cheers Cafe Bar and Tavern Facebook page, the ones with the most ‘likes’ winning cash prizes and a meal for two - and bottle of wine.

Dennis Forsyth of Cheers Cafe Bar and Tavern said that they had been running the Halloween event for the last few years, saying that it has been really successful, attracting hundreds of people in costume to the
bar.

Elsewhere, the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses are holding their own, special Halloween event, with a special tour around the lighthouse in the search for a ghost. This is a ticketed event at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and children. Booking advised.
