Looking for something to do this Mother’s Day?

Aden Country Park is to provide mums and families alike with a grand day out with the Mother’s Day Country Fair on Sunday, March 18.

Traditionally a day of hastily gathered gifts and bouquets of flowers for mums across the country, Aberdeenshire may have finally solved the puzzle in finding a gift that will keep mum - and the entire family - pleased.

Aden Country Park is offering families a fantastic selection of choices this Sunday to help celebrate the occasion with you and your loved ones.

There will be a range of activities, facilities and stalls on offer, including a good mix of craft and farmer’s market stalls.

Traders will include handcrafted jewellery; leather and tartan goods; locally made preserves; rapeseed oils; fudge and Scottish tablet; top quality meat; and cool stuff for kids including children’s gifts; clothing; sweets and toys.

Nothing to complain about, then!

The event is being organised as part of the Buchan Feeling Good Festival and the Aden Bike Challenge (a cycling event from Peterhead to Aden Country Park), which includes an exciting bike road show, information stalls, and Theatre Modo circus skills all set in the beautiful surroundings of Aden Country Park, Mintlaw.

The Buchan Feeling Good Festival is a week-long program of events aiming to get the area healthier and feeling better about themselves.

For more information on the event, contact Public Health Co-ordinator Calvin Little on telephone number 01771 613990.

A full ist of events for the Feeling Good Festival is available on Aberdeenshire Council’s website.

Other facilities on offer include the ever popular children’s play area, bouncy castle, and the award winning Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, bringing to life the story of North East farming through the ages.

The event will also be complemented by the Aden Café which will offer a special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.

Tables will be set in fine crockery and cutlery with white table linen, table decorations and a pink floral theme to celebrate Mothering Sunday.

So why not come along to Aden Country Park this Mother’s Day on Sunday and treat mum and the whole family to an enjoyable day out in the heart of Buchan?

Entry to Aden Country Park is free, and the Mother’s Day event is scheduled to run from 9:30am until 4pm.
