Two dancers from Fraserburgh and Mintlaw are getting ready to take part in DanceLive in Aberdeen later this month.
Eirinn Taylor and Ashleigh Thomson are to take part in a curtain-raiser during the award-winning festival of contemporary dance.
DanceLive, which is running from October 11 to October 31, will take place at The Lemon Tree and other venues in and around Aberdeen.
The young dancers will also take part in a three-day rehearsal with Joss Arnott, who leads his own contemporary dance company, Joss Arnott Dance.
Joss Arnott Dance is based in the South East of England. The company is funded by Arts Council England and supported by a number of dance organisations and dance houses.
As well as performing, Eirinn and Ashleigh will also have the opportunity to watch some of the performances during DanceLive.
Commenting, Fraserburgh Academy pupil Eirinn said: “I’m looking forward to it. I don’t think I’ve ever performed in front of such a large audience so it’ll be something new.
“I’m very excited to be doing it.”
Mintlaw Academy pupil Ashleigh commented: “I’m really excited about it, I think it’ll be a great experience.
“I think it’ll be good to see other dancers - including professional dancers - and see their techniques.”
