This month’s Super Saturday event, organised jointly by the Fraserburgh Forward Business Association and the Fraserburgh Development Trust, was the biggest yet.

Over 40 stallholders had taken part in this month’s event, having the theme of ‘sport’.

The various stalls comprised of a mix of locally based businesses with dozens of special offers and local charities and sports clubs promoting their wares.

The family-friendly occasion also featured a wide range of other attractions including a climbing wall, children’s activities including target football, a bouncy castle, slide and face painting in the Saturday Shack.

The public were also able to sample a wide range of delicious treats in the tasting gazebo or enjoy sampling the delights at the cookery demonstrations.

A spokesperson for the organisers told us: “We had a fantastic day. The sporting theme proved to be a real hit with visitors.

“The sun shone and we were delighted to see so many families come along and enjoy the wide range of attractions on display.”

Celebrating their 50th year in business in the town, Rodgers Electrical offered two sets of headphones as prizes to the winners of a children’s quiz.

The two lucky recipients were Reagan Inkster and Mitchell Bain, both from Fraserburgh.

The next Super Saturdays event will be held on Saturday, August 9, when the theme will be farming.
