Two extra performances have been announced for the Disney on Ice spectacular in Aberdeen in the spring.

The 2015 tour will open in March at the AECC’s GE Oil and Gas Arena on March 11 and two additional afternoon shows have been added.

Disney on Ice presents Magical Ice Festival will run in the city from March 11-15.

On March 11 there will be a 7pm performance, March 12 - 7pm and a new show at 3pm; March 13 - 7pm and new show at 3pm; March 14 and 15 - performances at 11am, 3pm and 7pm.

Tickets for the latest Disney On Ice extravaganza have only been on general sale since November 7 but, due to huge demand, a total of eleven extra performances have been added across the UK.

The show will see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse feature the most magical moments from across the Disney kingdom and, in a new twist on fairytale fun, comical segments from everyone’s favourite Disney characters set the scene for the show-stopping on-ice stories of princesses Ariel, Rapunzel and Belle.

There will also be a special appearance by Anna and Elsa from the Academy Award-winning and number one animated feature film of all time, Disney’s Frozen!

Audiences will journey up the North Mountains with the hilarious snowman Olaf, rugged mountain-man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven as they help the sisters along the way in a story full of action, adventure, magic and unforgettable characters.

AECC’s managing director Brian Horsburgh said: “We are delighted to have another two shows for the Magical Ice Festival.

“Due to the high level of demand we are aware a lot of customers were left disappointed at not being able to secure tickets for their family.

“The addition of these two shows will enable more people to experience the Disney magic live in Aberdeen.”
