Fraserburgh’s Junior Arts Society have begun a series of theatre workshops designed to get would-be stage performers a helping hand.

It is not just actors who will be offered the chance to advance their skills, however, with the workshops covering a wide range of theatre skills available.

If you have always fancied giving stage acting a go, or producing the next big hit, then the Junior Arts Society have you more than covered. Whether you’re a season professional, or just starting out, the workshops are open to all aged 12-years-old and up.

Scenery, sound engineering, advertising and, of course, acting will all be covered in the workshop series.

Sessions are held every Monday at the Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre from 7:45pm to 9:30pm, ending with two nights of performances from those who have taken part in the workshops later this year.

There is an insurance fee for taking part in the workshops, priced at either £10 or £5. Places are guaranteed.

Next week, on Monday, April 7, the Easter dance academy will also begin at the Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre, aimed at enthusiastic dancers from primary six upwards and tutored by three graduates from the Centre of Professional Dance Training, Edinburgh. Contact Stephen on 07786293114 for details.
