Make this summer an adventurous one, by taking part in a tandem skydive to raise crucial funds for Children Today.
Imagine waiting at the edge of a plane thousands of feet in the air as you hear go, go, go.
This is your cue to you leap from the plane! Free falling through the sky with the wind rushing through your hair; the canopy opens and you triumphantly glide back down to earth.
For only a minimum sponsorship of £395 this could be you! A fully qualified instructor will guide you every step of the way and dates are available every weekend throughout the year.
Children Today fundraiser, Ceri Ward says “This adrenaline charged event is a brilliant and fun way to raise funds to help provide specialised equipment to disabled children.”
So, are you prepared to take up the skydive challenge? If so, give Ceri a call on 01244 335622 or email email@example.com to see how you can get involved.
Relying entirely on voluntary donations, Children Today provides grants to buy specialised equipment such as individually adapted electric wheelchairs, walking aids, trikes, specially designed educational toys, adapted car seats, a wide range of communication aids, lifting and posturepaedic sleep equipment.
The amount of each grant can vary greatly and Children Today aims to spend funds in the areas in which they are raised.
Its vision is that all children and young people under 25 years of age with disabilities, living in the UK, will have the equipment, adaptation or service that aids their daily living, improves independence and quality of life and enables them to achieve their potential.
There are 390,000 disabled people under the age of 16 in the UK with 100,000 of them having more than one disability.
There is no statutory right for young people with disabilities to be provided with the equipment they need by the Government or the NHS.
