Popular Mod band coming to Fraserburgh

A popular Mod tribute band based in Aberdeen are to perform in the Clansman, Fraserburgh.

Target 5 play songs by The Jam, Secret Affair, The Lambrettas, The Who, The Small Faces, The Kinks etc. They also perform hits form the 60’s Mod scene and the late 70’s revival Mod scene.

Target 5 have been going since August 2010 and played their first gig at Skalloween in Drummonds, Belmont Street, Aberdeen along with aka Ska.

The band consists of Stephen Rafferty - lead vocals and guitar, Ewan Masson - guitar and backing vocals, Craig Murdoch – drums, Davie Hay - bass and backing vocals and Julie Rafferty - saxophone, keyboard, percussion and backing vocals.

The have supported Mod legends The Lambrettas and the Purple Hearts. They also played with Small Faces tribute band the Small Fakers last year and are to do so again in Aberdeen in April for a charity night in the Tunnels.

The band will perform at the Clansman on Commerce Street on Saturday March 17 and doors will open at 8 o’clock.

There will be Mod, Soul and Ska music played before Target 5 take to the stage so any one who likes this music can enjoy it for the whole evening. Tickets are £5 and you can pay at the door.
