Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) is searching for four talented board members to join their team in developing the work they do.

The firm which looks after His Majesty’s Theatre, the Music Hall, the Lemon Tree, as well as Aberdeen Box Office and the HMT restaurant 1906, has posts available for four new board members to replace directors that will be stepping down in November.

The four members will join one of the most successful arts organisations in Scotland, with an annual turnover of more than £10 million which employs over 250 full and part time staff,

Candidates with a strong interest or experience in the performing arts to help keep, grow and promote APA’s vital role in the performing arts in the city are sought.

“APA organisational development manager, Willie MacColl, said: “We are looking for dynamic and motivated people, who are excited and enthused about the creative and performing arts, not just in the North-east but on a national level.”

The post is unpaid, but board members will join the firm at a very exciting time - APA have recently agreed their five-year business plan are about to start a major redevelopment of the Music Hall.

Board members also act as ambassadors and advocates for the three venues and their artistic programmes.

The closing date for applications is March 21.
