A HOST of additional events for August have been added to the bill at His Majesty’s Theatre, Music Hall and Lemon Tree, Aberdeen
On Sunday, August 5, as part of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival 2012, Ceól Mór and Guests, a performance by the Ceól Mór participants, AIYF’s educational project and traditional big band and featuring members of the famed Treacherous Orchestra, in the Lemon Tree, West North Street, Aberdeen, doors at 7.30pm.
As part of Aberdeen International Youth Festival, on Friday, August 10 there will be Opera, Family and Fun, an informal hour of songs, stories and opera suitable for all ages, in The Lemon Tree, West North Street, Aberdeen at 11am.
Saturday, August 11, sees, Le Chemin des Chevres and Guests, three French singers and guitarists Jean-Pierre, Julien, and Pierre-Nils, who claim to be the inventors of Sweet Humoristic Foolish Songs, mixing original gypsy jazz with wonderful lyrics, alongside Granite City act Taco and the Sharpie.
They will be appearing in The Lemon Tree Lounge, West North Street, Aberdeen, at 8pm.
On Saturday, August 18, there will be a Scottish Youth Theatre: Junior Course Aberdeen work on the Summer Festival theme, Twisted Shakespeare, to give the audience a taste of Shakespeare – but not as they know it.
The event will be held in The Lemon Tree Studio, West North Street, Aberdeen, at 1pm and 3pm.
