Trump International Golf Links at Menie marks the start of the festive season with an official Christmas lights switch-on this Friday (December 4).
Santa’s Grotto will be launched at a fun, family event featuring carol singers, music and seasonal goodies at 4pm.
Gathering at the newly completed clubhouse located at the heart of the estate, members of the public are invited to participate in the celebrations by welcoming Santa Claus and his helpers who will arrive in spectacular style at 4.30pm.
Santa will officially ‘switch-on’ the lights and announce his arrival at the Trump Santa Grotto alongside one of the youngsters from Newburgh Mathers Primary School who won the prestigious opportunity to ‘press the button’.
The Longside Parish Church Choir will lead the crowd in traditional carols by the Trump Christmas tree.
Guests will be warmed by hot pies kindly donated by JK Fine Foods as well as mulled cider and treats on offer for the young ones.
Visitors are asked to arrive from 4pm with the switch-on and Santa’s arrival anticipated at 4.30pm.
Tickets are not required and the event is free.
Visitors wishing to dine in the Brasserie are, however, advised to pre-book to avoid disappointment.
Santa’s Grotto offers a magical experience for children throughout December and is open to visitors from Saturday, December 5. Tickets are £10 per child and prior booking is advised.
Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of Trump International Golf Links, Scotland, said: We’re delighted to mark the start of the festive season with our first Christmas family event.
“The new clubhouse Brasserie, Shop and Santa’s Grotto is open throughout December and everyone is welcome.”
