The parade marched to Fraserburgh’s United Reformed Church for a sermon from Battalion Chaplain Rev Catherine McFie.

During the service three President’s Badges were awarded, and Mr James Muirhead was recognised on having been made an MBE.

Battalion President Michael Strachan said of the event: “It was extremely gratifying to see so many young people turn out for the Battalion’s service and parade - particularly to see so many coming to Fraserburgh from around the countryside”.

Companies from Rosehearty, Sandhaven, St. Combs, Strichen, New Pitsligo and New Deer, as well as Fraserburgh, attended on the day.

For the first time Parade Commander Steve Wilson allowed Anchor Boys to join the parade.
