Each year the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath comes alive with the sounds of music from throughout the 20th century.

The Minstrels are this year offering one of their trademark diverse programmes, with segments from the back catalogues of Buddy Holly, Cole Porter, Broadway, music halls, the eighties, Dixie Chicks, and of course, the grand finale, the tribute to the music of Dixieland.

All of the proceeds from the show go to good causes in Arbroath and the surrounding area, and over the course of the Angus Minstrels’ history they have raised in excess of £500,000.

Producer James Hutcheson said: “As everybody knows everything the show makes goes to charity, so the more we make the more we have to give away to good causes.

“We have everything from music from the 1920s right up to the Dixie Chicks, spanning all these musical genres. It’s perfect for a fun family night out.”

This year’s show runs from tomorrow night (Saturday) until Saturday, November 7, with performances nightly at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from the Webster Memorial Theatre box office on 01241 435800.
