P1/2 and P2/3 pupils visited the lighthouse last week and took part in a host of fun activities during the trip.
Around 40 pupils, who were accompanied by teachers and parent helpers, were split into three groups.
Each group took a tour of the Lighthouse Museum, went up to the top of the Lighthouse, and took part in a crafts session, where the children had the chance to make their own paper lighthouse.
Commenting on the visit, manager of the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses Lynda McGuigan said: “I think the children are really enjoying the crafts and they’re really engrossed.
“You can tell they’re really engrossed because they’re really quiet!”
Class teacher Katie Somerville commented: “I think everyone’s really excited about visiting.
“We’ve been doing ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’, so it’s great to see the Lighthouse in reality to make it more meaningful for the children.”
