The Probus Club met on Wednesday, October 22, in the South Church Hall, Fraserburgh, with Jim Craig on door duty.
The club’s speaker was Catherine McConnell who gave a talk and slide show on conserving Aberdeenshire’s heritage. The collection is stored at their base in Mintlaw. She also brought along some small items from the collection including one which was over 5,000 years old. These were passed round members and the history of the items explained.
The vote of thanks was given by Jack Proven.
The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 12, when the speaker will be Joan Cowie who wiil be giving a talk on her work associated with CLAN.
