Treat mum to an enjoyable day out this Mother’s Day with the annual Aden Country Park Mother’s Day Country Fair on Sunday, March 30.
There will be a range of activities, facilities and stalls on offer including a good mix of craft and farmer’s market stalls.
The event takes place from 11am to 4pm, in the beautiful surroundings of Mintlaw’s Aden Country Park.
Traders at the Country Fair will include handcrafted jewellery, flowers and gifts, locally-made preserves, fudge and Scottish tablet, top quality meat from local butchers, as well as cool stuff for kids including children’s gifts, clothing, sweets and toys.
Other stalls offer an opportunity to support CLAN and the Mintlaw Cancer Self Support Group, that and a chance to find out more about recycling, and to get those all-important replacement bags for the recently circulated food composting bins.
Other activities include an outdoor BBQ run by locally-run business, The Store, tea coffee and refreshments served by the Friends of Aden in the Café, access to the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, and a chance for the kids to let off steam on a bouncy castle and the ever popular children’s play area.
There will also be a chance to shop in the Aden Craft and Gift Shop which offers a unique selection of locally made arts and crafts, including cards, bags, scarfs, and jewellery as well as a range of books, music, souvenirs, and children’s toys, all at fair prices.
Aden Country Park development worker Neil Shirran said: “Building on the success of last year’s event this should prove to be a great day out for all the family.
“We’ve got a great range of stalls this year, so if you think mum is in need spoiling why not treat her for a day out in Aden, there’s something for everyone!”
