Photographic Society set to return this month

Fraserburgh’s Photographic Society is set to return this month, September, following the society’s annual summer break.

This week, they have announced that club meetings will resume starting Thursday, September 5, for the 2013/ 14 season, at the JIC Building, Albert Street.

Meetings will take place weekly at 7:30pm.

On September 5, new members will be welcomed and the programme of events for the season will be discussed. The following week, members are asked to bring along up to 10 images to share and discuss what they did over the

Monthly competition images (digital) will also be accepted on September 12.

A digital image tutorial will close September for the society, Mike Chandler informing members of the society’s website’s updates on September 19.

At the annual general meeting, it was agreed that the two themed competitions for the season would be ‘night time’ and ‘decay and dereliction’.

Members are invited to join for £30 (couples £50). Seniors may join for £25 (couples £40).

There will also be a weekly fee of £1 for teas on the night.
