Four New Aberdour, Tyrie and Pennan Community Councillors were recognised on Wednesday after giving over 20 years service.
ane Ironside, Gordon Duguid, Gordon Davidson and Barbara Anderson received certificates in thanks of their longstanding commitment to the community council.
Bill Pitt, New Aberdour, Tyrie and Pennan Community Council Chairman, said: “The Community Council realised that we had four members with over 20 years and we thought that was quite significant.
“To have that longevity and dedication was something we wanted to celebrate and recognise.”
The four memebers were each presented with the certificate of recognition at a ceremony at the old school in New Aberdour on Wednesday night.
The event was organised by Wilson Irvine, the past Chairman of the Community Council, with the certificates being presented by Troup Councillor Ross Cassie.
Councillor Cassie said: “Their input to the community has been unstoppable over 20 years each and they are a credit to their community and inspirational to others to be more involved.”
Jane and the two Gordon’s were present on the night to receive their recognition but unfortunately Barbara was unable to attend the ceremony.
Mr Pitt said: “These are all volunteers which makes it even more exceptional I think to go on for that amount of time and to do it off thier own free will.
