BITES offers new courses

BITES centre at Maud will be hosting three new training courses in the coming weeks.

The BBC First Click course will be held on Friday, August 19, from 10am to 12.30pm and will run for three weeks. This course is free.

It is a six-hour course delivered in partnership with BBC and is a free course aimed at people who have never used a computer before. Small classes (eight people) are given a relaxed environment in which to learn.

Computers Don’t Byte, will run from Thursday, August 25, for eight weeks. The course runs from 10am to 12 noon and the cost is £40, subsidised (£2.50 per hour).

This course has been subsidised due to a grant from Aberdeenshire Council, (Buchan Area Initiative award). It is aimed at people who are new to computing and covers more than the Click course.

Digital Photography Picasa is the third course which will be held on Wednesday, August 31, for six weeks. It runs from 1pm to 4pm and the cost is £70.

Meanwhile, the BITES customer Christmas party will be held on December 9, from 10am to 2pm.
