The Book of Deer Project is organising a coach trip to Deeside to visit sites connected with our Pictish heritage.
The coach will leave Mintlaw Academy at 9 am on Saturday, May 17, and take a scenic route through Aberdeenshire and Kincardine. Pick up points may be arranged for those who are unable to make the journey to Mintlaw.
Once on Deeside, among the many points of interest will be the Cross Slab overlooking Loch Kinord, the Burn o’ Vat, the Pictish Stone and then the Visitor’s Centre at Migvie.
Those taking part in trip will have a choice of walks from the award-winning Visitor Centre at the Muir of Dinnet and be able tailor their visit to their preferences.
The cost of the trip is £15 per person with concessionary rates for those who have paid their subscriptions as a Friend of the Book of Deer or the Project.
Those who wish to go on the trip are advised to bring a packed lunch.
