The themed community events - which include entertainment, stalls and children’s activities - are held in Fraserburgh over the summer until September, with a special festive event in December.

The next event is taking place from 10am to 3.30pm this Saturday, July 11, in the town centre of Fraserburgh.

This will be the third Super Saturday of 2015 and organisers hope local residents will support the event as much as the first two events.

This weekend, visitors will be able to see local businesses involved with net mending demonstrations, as well as viewing tractors and other farming equipment.

Playbarn Nursery are kindly organising a children’s competition so be sure to look out for prizes supplied by local companies.

Plenty of other entertainment will be on offer for the children, much of it free of charge. Bring the wee ones along for a great day out!

North East Scotland College will be in attendance with representatives from the Scottish Maritime Academy. Come and talk to them about all the opportunities which are available.

And Super Saturday would not be the same without a fantastic offering of food.

Come along to the ever popular “Tasting Gazebo” where visitors will have the opportunity to try various foods supplied by local firms. Super Saturdays could not offer this without their support - which is much appreciated by the organisers.

New to the food scene at Super Saturdays are local Indian restaurant Nagendras and the Leisure Centre with delicious food to try. The Community Church will also be there with their amazing burgers.

Local DJ, Alan Strachan will be compere for the day, keeping everyone entertained and introducing local musical talent such as singer Lauren Baird and Karen Gibson with a ‘Clubbercise’ Demonstration.

The Sea Cadets will be making their first appearance at a Super Saturday and organisers look forward to their display.

The Fraserburgh Development Trust have received fantastic support and encouragement from everyone at Aberdeenshire Council and the council’s financial support has made these events possible for the people of Fraserburgh.

Organisers hope everyone will have a fantastic time on July 11 and look forward to hearing your comments about what you enjoyed and what you would like to see added to these events.
