A Fraserburgh museum has joined a list of Scottish attractions that will take part in an annual celebration of Scotland’s culture.
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses will play a part in this year’s Festival of Museums taking place from May 13 to May 15.
The Lighthouse Museum will put on a Lighthouse Keeper’s Bootcamp as part of the festival where visitors can get a hands on experience of what life was like for a lighthouse keeper.
Visitors will learn an array of nautical skills including how to tie knots, make their own weather vane and send messages using signal flags.
Their inclusion in the festival is a further boost for the Broch museum after they were earlier this year included on the Castle Trail.
