A Fraserburgh pipe band has received funding from a banking grant to help them buy new drums and allow more young people to join.
Fraserburgh Royal British Legion Pipeband received the £500 from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank Employee Volunteer Grant Programme which they will put towards the cost of new drums.
The bank’s grant programme allows employees to apply for up to £500 if they are actively involved with a local community group.
Jacqui Atkinson, Community Support Manager at Clydesdale Bank, said: “Any employee that is involved in a charity or not-for-profit organisation in their own time is eligible to apply for a grant.”
She added: “ Actively encouraging our employees to become involved in voluntary work within their own community through our grants programme is just one way we can support the valuable contribution they make in helping others.”
The bank has awarded over £155,000 in funding.
