A pair of Fraserburgh sisters took part in the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo this year as part of the Highland dance team.
Stephanie and Veronica Duthie spent August in the capital during the Edinburgh festival season.
They spent their first week there rehearsing and then performed nightly, and twice on Saturday, thereafter.
The team of dancers that Stephanie, 21, and Veronica, 16, were a part was an international one.
As well as Scotland, the team consisted of dancers from Canada, USA, and Australia.
At 16, Veronica was the youngest performer in the Tattoo, and it was her first.
Stephanie had already represented Scotland earlier in the summer at the Tattoo in Basel, Switzerland.
The theme for this year’s Tattoo was ‘east meets west’. The girls danced a choreographed routine as a team to the theme song from film Slumdog Millionaire, Jai Ho.
And they also participated in the ‘Bollywood love story’, an array of ‘colourful songs and dances combined with spectacular costumes’.
The girls took part in its opening and closing routines.
