Aberdeen Foyer’s Prince’s Trust Team 26 held their final presentation ceremony at The Palace Hotel recently.

Local participants of the programme were Miranda Fox, John Silbergh, Shelley King and Thomas McCormick

The evening, which was attended by approximately 150 family, friends and partnership agencies, was the last challenge for the team.

The team members delivered presentations about what they have done during their time on the programme and told their audience about their own personal journeys.

The 11 members of the team have now finished the programme with nationally recognised qualifications.

Over the last 12 weeks, the team members attended a five-day outward bounds course, carried out a three-week community project and successfully completed two-week work placements.

The Team also recently completed their team challenge, in which they worked at two local primary schools, spent two days at Grangepark Nursing Home and also organised a community open day to officially open the Roanheads Community Flat.

The team’s ‘Oscar’-themed presentation marked the end of their journeys on the Prince’s Trust Team Programme and they wish to take this opportunity to express thanks to CNR International, work placement providers and organisations who have supported the team during the last 12 weeks.

The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is delivered in North Aberdeenshire by Aberdeen Foyer in partnership with Aberdeen College.

The programme is a 12-week self development course for 16 to 25-year-olds, designed to increase confidence, motivation and raise self-esteem.

The next team will begin on Monday, May 14.

Anyone interested in joining the team should contact the team leader, Bryan MacKay, on telephone number 01779 481170 or 07930 605887.
