A renewable company has secured £3 million in a bond offer which it secured against two wind farms in Strichen.
Thrive Renewables, formerly Triodos Renewables, raised the cash through bonds starting at £250 with residents of the Strichen area able to access the bond offer before its general release.
The investment was secured against two existing and generating wind farms in the village including Auchtygills.
Four-hundred-and-eighteen people put their money into the bond to secure the £3 million in just four weeks.
Matthew Clayton, Managing Director of Thrive Renewables said: “I’m absolutely delighted with the result of our first ever bond offer which is the fastest fund raise in our history. It is reassuring that investor confidence in solid assets offering environmental and financial rewards remains strong.”
