Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils are gearing up to take part in one of the key events in the energy sector calendar.
The councils will be jointly exhibiting at the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) Exhibition, Conference and Festival in Stavanger later this month to promote the region as a place to live and work and the region’s skills, expertise and innovation.
With 1,300 companies exhibiting and around 50,000 decision makers from more than 90 countries visiting the show, ONS provides an ideal opportunity to target important customers and suppliers in the oil and gas arena.
It takes place at the Stavanger Forum in the Norwegian city from Tuesday, August 28 to Friday, August 31.
Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils have booked stand space on Scottish Development International’s Scottish Pavilion, which has a prominent location at the show.
Eight local businesses: Roustabout Energy International; Online Electronics Limited; Centrifuges Un-Limited; Aquasign – Champion Environmental Technologies; John Bell Pipeline Equipment Company Ltd; Safelift Offshore Ltd; Aubin; and Arnlea will exhibit on the stand, joining the authorities in showcasing regional talents, products and services.
Being there gives companies cost-effective, direct access to an international cross-section of individuals with significant decision-making and purchasing power.
The councils will also host an Aberdeen City and Shire pavilion at the ONS Festival, an evening event over three nights at the harbourside, which attracts local and international visitors, providing a great networking opportunity in a relaxed and informal setting.
