Former Fraserburgh company BrewDog has made another massive step in expanding the business with the launch of it’s latest craft beer bar in Barcelona.
The opening in Barcelona brings BrewDog’s bar count to 26 and serves as a testament to the global advancement of the craft beer movement.
As is traditional with every BrewDog bar, the brewery will give a nod to its host city by serving a selection of craft beers from Barcelona and the rest of Spain, as well as from renowned breweries from around the world.
The Barcelona bar will also host regular “meet the brewer” events, allowing customers the chance to meet some of the most exciting and forward-thinking brewers in Spain.
Located at Carrer de Casanova 69, BrewDog Barcelona is located in a former bank building, and the bulletproof glass showcase serves as a vestige to the building’s prior use.
The bar has capacity for 100 people and will serve 20 beers on tap.
BrewDog co-founder James Watt commented:
“Barcelona needs no introduction.
“Its reputation as a cultural epicentre precedes it. It’s vibrant, it’s artistic, it’s experimental, it’s proud, it’s unapologetic, it’s BrewDog.
“From Gaudi to Messi, Barcelona is a city of rule-breaking and record setting and this perfectly encapsulates the BrewDog ethos.
“The demand for craft beer in Spain has been growing year on year.”
