A leading North-east accountancy firm has increased its team of experts to strengthen its services ahead of the January online self-assessment deadline.
SBP Accountants and Business Advisors, which has offices in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff has appointed Barbara-Ann Borwick as a taxassistant to ahead of a busy December and January at the firm.
Mrs Borwick, will be based within the firm’s Peterhead tax office, which is the largest of the four branches, with a dedicated team of 23 employees overseen by SBP managing partner John Hannah.
The deadline for online self-assessment form returns and final payment of tax due is 31st January 2015, and Mrs Borwick will use her vast experience of the industry to assist clients with last minute queries or issues.
Mrs Borwick said: “Traditionally, this is an extremely busy time of year for accountants as things really start to pick up from the start of December and right up until the end of January. My main role will be to assist the Peterhead tax office in preparing and submitting clients’ self-assessment tax returns ahead of the January deadline.”
