A Rosehearty drinks company has won a Grampian food award for Scotland’s first ever tonic water.

Summerhouse Drinks was awarded the Best New Foodservice Product For Businesses With Up To 25 Employees at the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards.

Claire Rennie, Managing Director of Summerhouse Drinks said: “We are so thrilled to receive this award for Walter Gregor’s Tonic Water, especially as it is the only Scottish tonic water on the market at the moment.

“The awards are widely considered as the most prestigious food and drink accolade for businesses in the North East of Scotland so we couldn’t be more proud to win.

“I’m sure Walter Gregor will be looking down on us and cheering us on.”

The tonic water is named after Walter Gregor, a Victorian Minister who served the historic Parish of Pitsligo, where Summerhouse Drinks is based.

The garden of the Manse, where Walter Gregor lived and worked, is being brought back to life by Claire and her team to grow key botanicals for their new tonic water.
