A popular North East café will be taking a temporary break this winter.
The Café at Aden, located inside Mintlaw’s Aden Country Park, will close at the end of October in order to allow some renovation work to take place.
Proprietrix Joanna Gall said: "We’ve had an exceptionally busy summer this year, and as we’ve now been trading at Aden for over two years, we felt it was time some improvements were made to the building.
"We have been looking to install new windows into the building for some time now, and we hope we will manage to get them fitted during this four-month closure.
"We’re also hoping to reinvent our pop up shop area within the café – we are going to be establishing an art corner – and come Spring will be showcasing the work of many local artists.
"We’ll be open for the Aden-een Parade (Friday, October 28) and the Christmas Fayre (Sunday, December 4), but will be focusing the rest of our efforts over the winter months into improving the café."
The Café at Aden will close Sunday, October 30, and will reopen in February 2017. The café’s sister venue, the Saplinbrae Hotel, will remain open and serves coffee and cakes from 10am daily, as well as lunch and dinner.
