There used to be two full-time community wardens in Fraserburgh, and one part-time.
At the moment there are none.
However, Councillor Brian Topping tells us that local pressure has led to a decision by the Community Safety Executive to appoint two full-time wardens once again.
It is anticipated that they will be on the streets in the early days of April.
Mr Topping said: “They will be based at the housing department and will pick up local issues, making a vital link between the public and police.
“They will provide familiar and friendly faces on the streets, and I am delighted that funds were identified to enable wardens to return.”
